Yes, Wired networks are typically more secure than wireless environments due to the fact that an individual must physically plug his/her computer into a wall jack in order to use the service (i.e. browse the web or send email). With a wireless network, the network signal is transmitted through the air thus posing a higher risk of interception. It is very important that encryption is enabled on your wireless network.
